How to spend a weekend in Concan, Texas
I packed my bags, and invited my family to spend a weekend in Concan, Texas. We stayed at the most beautiful property called The Highball by Speakeasy Resorts. Let me just say, we did NOT want to leave. The property is located on a hilltop, and is perfect for families, girls trips, or a relaxing couples trip. Thank you so much for having me!
We could have spent all weekend at the property and been perfectly happy BUT there are so many things to do nearby so let me show you how to spend a weekend in Concan, Texas.

Where to stay in Concan, Texas

If you are looking for the perfect place with the most beautiful view, check out The Highball by Speakeasy Resorts. It can fit up to 20 people, has 5 bedrooms, 5.5 baths, and plenty of space for everyone. Let me say, every single corner was Insta-worthy!
Did i mention the views yet? Enjoy the sunset from the infinity pool or hot tub. My parents, and my niece and nephew who are ten, did not want to get out of the hot tub! They also really enjoyed the air hockey/ping pong table and shuffleboard.
Do note there is very limited to no signal in the area but there is strong Wi-Fi at the property.

Things to do in Concan, Texas

First you will check into The Highball at 4pm on Friday. Use this time to get settled in, get the hot tub ready, and get familiar with the area and the property.
Saturday morning we booked a trip to Garner State Park to hike the popular Old Baldy trail, and then cooled off in the Frio river. It’s only about a 10 minute drive from the property and one of the most beautiful parks in Texas. Afterwards, we went for lunch at Hippie Chic’s River Shack. It’s all outdoors with plenty of seating and live music on the weekends. The pepperoni pizza was my absolute favorite!
Then, for dessert we stopped by The Frio Float for ice cream and shakes. It’s super cute inside and full of sweet treats that both kids and adults will enjoy. While you’re there, walk over to the cutest mural at the Uvalde County Visitor Center. In addition, we didn’t get to visit but heard some great things about the chicken fried steak at Neal’s Dining Room for lunch or dinner.

Sunday morning we decided to sleep in, have breakfast at home and then checked out by 11am. If you are willing to continue exploring, head to Lost Maples State Natural Area. Another absolutely beautiful park in Texas, especially in the fall to see the fall foliage! And if you are feeling adventurous, drive the Twisted Sisters, it’s full of curves and amazing views. Downtown Leakey is about 12 miles away and also has plenty of dining options.
Trust me when I say there is so much to do near the property. I hope you found the perfect way to spend a weekend in Concan, Texas at The Highball by Speakeasy Resorts.
