I LOVE going mural hunting, and I couldn’t believe there were over 10+ murals in Waco! Not only is mural hunting free, but you get to explore the city you are visiting AND get some photos for the gram! Sounds like a win win to me!
I’ll be highlighting some of my favorite murals but if you are looking for more murals, including a map, click here to see the ones Waco Chamber has highlighted.
1) City with a Soul

Artist: Kalyn Dunks
Location: The Findery/501 S 8th St
Tips: First up is definitely a classic and located steps from Magnolia Market. The mural highlights some iconic spots in Waco! You can find plenty of parking at The Findery, then take your picture and head inside the boutique for some shopping.
2) Starry Night

Artist: Jenny Jameson
Location: 1000 Colombus Ave.
Tips: This beautiful mural is located on the side of the building with plenty of parking. It’s modeled after Van Gogh’s Starry Night and I think it looks absolutely amazing!
3) You look nice today Wacotown

Artist: Binty Bint
Location: 115 N. 7th St
Tips: I thought this mural was super cute and fun! It is located behind the building in the parking lot. Just note that there are parking spots right in front of it but we stopped by on a Saturday morning and had no issues.
4) Bold Waco

Artist: Nick Frigo
Location: Barnetts Pub/420 Franklin Ave
Tips: I have to say this mural was a hard one! First of all it is a huge mural! Second, we passed by so many times and there were tents set up right in front. Finally, we found it empty one afternoon and got the shot!
5) Dichotomy Rooftop

Artist: Mike Trozzo
Location: Rooftop of Dichotomy/508 Austin Ave
Tips: This Waco mural is a hidden little gem! Grab a drink from downstairs, and take it up to the rooftop! Then, you will find this hidden mural spelling out Waco and an amazing view of downtown.
6) Sweet Trip

Artist: Unknown
Location: The Sweet Station/425 S 8th St
Tips: Another mural that is also walking distance to Magnolia Market. It’s located at the cutest gas station turned into a candy store! This mural is perfect for ending your SWEET trip to Waco!
7) Dr Pepper Mural

Artist: Unknown
Location: Dr Pepper Museum/300 5th S St.
Tips: The Dr Pepper mural is located inside the courtyard of the Dr Pepper Museum. If you have time I highly recommend planning a visit to the museum and learning more about their history. Bonus, you get a free drink at the end!
8) Greetings from Waco

Artist: Unknown
Location: Colombus Ave at 8th St.
Tips: This was definitely the hardest mural to photograph that I didn’t even get a chance to! Every single time we drove by there were cars parked in front. Look up their business hours and try to visit at an off time! Photo by Waco Chamber.
9) Magnolia

Artist: Unknown
Location: Silos Baking Co at Magnolia Market
Tips: If you are planning on getting cupcakes, I highly recommend getting there 30 minutes to an hour before closing. The line will be much much shorter! After you get your goodies walk over to this mural! For more tips on visiting Magnolia click here.
10) Lamp of the body

Artist: Joe Rooster
Location: 214 N 11 St
Tips: This colorful mural definitely caught our eye! Get it? It is located behind the building with plenty of parking nearby.
BONUS: Summer of downtown Chalk Murals

Artist: Unknown
Location: 101 S 7th Street
Tips: These murals are located in Downtown Waco and are part of the summer of downtown project. They had several murals but these two caught my eye the most. See if you can check off the Waco Bingo Card! Snap your picture then head over to the speakeasy next door called Undercroft!
