How to spend Quarantine in Houston
Looking for something to do in Houston while social distancing? Tired of being at home? Here are 5 things to do in Houston during quarantine. Don’t forget to wear your masks and bring your hand sanitizer!
Need to get outside to relax? Head to downtown and go to Discovery Green. Check out all the art, take pictures, and picnic while social distancing!
One thing Houston isn’t lacking are murals! New ones are popping up all the time. I will try to keep y’all updated on the blog! If you only have time for one spot, head to the Houston Graffiti Building in East Downtown. For more murals and locations, check out my murals category here or follow me on instagram as I always note the location in the captions here.
3) Walk, Run, or Bike the Trails
You have to admit Houston occasionally gives us cool walking weather. Okay maybe rarely, so when it does, grab your quarantine buddy and get some vitamin D. One of my favorite trails is the White Oak Bayou Trail which also connects to the Buffalo Bayou Trail in downtown. Additionally, you can also head to Buffalo Bayou Park for an amazing view of Downtown and for the Love Lock Bridge (pictured).
4) Support Local (Eat, Drink, Shop)
One of my favorite things to do is finding new places to eat. Go support your local restaurants! Some of my favorites are Angela’s Oven, Uncle Beans, Tout Suite, Dish Society, and Adair Kitchen. Also, a little secret that you may not know but due to the quarantine, Texas has allowed drinks to go. 🙂
5) Head to the Beach
Us Houstonians are lucky to have Galveston less than an hour away. Pack up your coolers with food, snacks, and drinks and don’t forget to bring your umbrellas, beach towels, swimsuits and sunscreen. Take a dip in the water to cool off! For more things to do in Galveston click here.
