🚂ALL ABOARD THE @texasstaterail 🛤️Step a 🚂ALL ABOARD THE @texasstaterail
🛤️Step aboard a vintage 1920’s railcar & take a 4-hour round-trip train ride through the Piney Woods. There is a 1 hour and 20-minute layover at Rusk Rail depot to have lunch and explore the grounds. This has been on my bucket list since I saw that they do The Polar Express Train Ride during Christmas time!
💺Choose to seat in presidential cars, open-air, dome, first class, and more. Most cars are temperature-controlled, have restrooms, and a concession car stocked with a variety of snacks, candy, ice cream, and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for purchase. Fun fact: Yellowstone filmed an episode here!

I've always wanted to use my platform for good so I have partnered with @BeTheMatch to remind you that if you’re already registered as a bone marrow donor, when they find a match, please remember to say YES.
Over 70% of patients who need a transplant do not have a fully matched donor in their family, they depend on Be The Match. Because of the makeup of the registry, 53% of Asian patients, 71% of African American patients, 52% of Hispanic patients, and 40% of Native American patients won't find a match. We need more diverse donors to join the registry to increase the odds for those patients.

This is the one restaurant I visit EVERY single time I’m in town!! @LaPanaderia opened in 2014 & specializes in making handmade bread & pan dulce inspired by Mexico’s Golden Era, which also draws influence from French, Italian, & American breadmaking techniques. Which means yes, the bread is 🤤 & absolutely worth the drive!
🎥In the video:
-Tres Leches Croissant, Vanilla Concha (top was crunchy while the inside was flaky 🤤), Chocolate Croissant, Sugar Donut
-Bacon & Egg Torta on birote with a house salad (my favorite)
-French Toast on Cinnamon Raisins & Pecans roll
-El Buenos Dias
-Iced Lattes
🏆And if you don’t believe me when I say it’s worth the hype, it was named one of the 10 “best artisanal bakeries in North America” by USA Today’s 10 Best.

I remember visiting Laredo when my family and I would drive to Mexico for our family trips. It had been years since I had visited and let me tell you, it has grown SO much. The New Wave

The New Wave in Arizona

Have you heard or seen pictures of the famous rock formation named The Wave? It is such a popular 6 mile roundtrip hike but it is extremely difficult to get one of those 20 permits issued daily, 10 are issued in person, and 10 via lottery. Well I have found the perfect alternative, The New Wave, where there is no permit required.

I honestly was shocked at how little information there is about hiking The New Wave. I am not even sure how I first heard about the hike, but I am sure it was Instagram!

Well, with little information other than it’s a short easy hike, and this Google Maps here, we set off on our hike. I will give you some tips below and if you have any additional questions feel free to leave a comment or reach out to me on Instagram here.

The New Wave Page Arizona

Getting there

City: Page, Arizona

Location: On Google maps here

Parking: I parked right across the street from Beehive Campground, although, there aren’t any signs or clear parking spots. Luckily we were the only ones there so I just made up a parking spot.

Best time to visit: Above all, make sure you avoid the summers as it gets super hot and there is absolutely no shade. I went early October and it was still hot as the sun was shining bright, I stopped by around 12pm.

What to bring: Don’t forget your sunscreen, a hat, no hiking shoes are required.

Fee: No fees or permits needed

The Trail

Time: I would say an hour should be enough to explore the whole area. It took us about 15 minutes to find the perfect spot for pictures which was probably about halfway through the trail. Although, as I kept walking, it just got better and better and we kept stopping for pictures. If we weren’t in a time crunch we definitely would have kept exploring the whole trail.

Trail: The trail is clearly marked with rocks on both sides of the pathway, as you can see above. I tried following the map but we took the first left we saw and it lead us to some of our favorite spots faster.

In Conclusion

In conclusion, The New Wave is the perfect alternative to the famous hard to get to The Wave.

The New Wave is:

– Completely Free

– Accessible as no permits are needed

– A short hike

– Completely empty

– And just as beautiful!

In addition, make sure you watch my Instagram Reel here, and my TikTok here.
