Insta-worthy Spots in Corpus Christi
We spent the weekend in Corpus Christi and we did what we do best, found the best murals and Insta-worthy spots in Corpus Christi!
I do want to say thank you to Monica at CC Bucketlist for having the best murals in Corpus Christi easily accessible on her Instagram and including addresses to the murals. In addition, if you are looking for more murals and things to do in Corpus Christi she has an amazing list.
If you are looking for somewhere to stay nearby check out our blog post on Lively Beach here.

Location: 600 N Shoreline
We couldn’t go to Corpus Christi and not stop by the Selena Memorial! There is free street parking off N. Shoreline.
There is a plaque next to her statue, however, the plaque was hard to read it says:
“City of Corpus Christi Selena Memorial. Dedicated May 25, 1997. Selena Quintanilla Perez 1971-1995. Selena was referred to as La Flor (the Flower) and identified with La Rosa Blanca (the White Rose). When you view La Rosa Blanca, you feel her presence nearby. Selena’s stage is now silent yet her persona enriched the lives of those she touched and her music lives on.”
In addition, we walked down the steps to find these tiles called Paseo de la Flor. The tiles were hand painted by Texas children who loved Selena.

The Dokyo Wall
Artist: Jeremy Flores
Location: Dokyo Dauntaun
So I don’t normally have favorites but this mural is so unique and different I HAD to stop by! The mural is inspired by a Japanese market and it really makes it seem like you are there!
The mural is located at the sushi restaurant Dokyo. Therefore, they do have a parking lot but the spots said reserved. So to be safe I parked in the street on N Chaparral.

Mermaid Sand Castle
Location: Ocean Treasures
I had no clue a mermaid sand castle existed in Corpus Christi. The castle is located at Ocean Treasures which is a souvenir store. Therefore, I parked at the store, then walked over to the caste. The castle faces the freeway but since I didn’t have a wide angle lens I wasn’t able to fully capture it all because it’s really that huge!

Greetings from Corpus Christi
Artist: Jeremy Flores
Location: 120 N Mesquite
The mural is located in a parking lot and there were two cars parked in front. Luckily one left and then I had to change up my angle as the second one was parked to the left of this mural.
I love how this mural shows everything about Corpus Christi. For instance, it includes Selena, The Harbor Bridge, USS Lexington and so many more.

Texas Flag
Artist: Unknown
Location: Fin Factory Kayak
I wanted to show off my Texas love, so I headed to Fin Factory Kayak for this Texas flag mural.
The mural is located on the side of Fin Factory Kayak. I was able to park in the empty lot for a quick picture.

Loteria The mUral
Artist: Over 50 South Texas Artists
Location: K Space Contemporary
I used to love playing Loteria, it is so easy and fun to play and it is played similar to bingo. This mural is a fun twist on the game. In addition, this mural is one of the largest in Corpus Christi and is iconic to the city.
