🛤️Step aboard a vintage 1920’s railcar & take a 4-hour round-trip train ride through the Piney Woods. There is a 1 hour and 20-minute layover at Rusk Rail depot to have lunch and explore the grounds. This has been on my bucket list since I saw that they do The Polar Express Train Ride during Christmas time!
💺Choose to seat in presidential cars, open-air, dome, first class, and more. Most cars are temperature-controlled, have restrooms, and a concession car stocked with a variety of snacks, candy, ice cream, and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for purchase. Fun fact: Yellowstone filmed an episode here!

I've always wanted to use my platform for good so I have partnered with @BeTheMatch to remind you that if you’re already registered as a bone marrow donor, when they find a match, please remember to say YES.
Over 70% of patients who need a transplant do not have a fully matched donor in their family, they depend on Be The Match. Because of the makeup of the registry, 53% of Asian patients, 71% of African American patients, 52% of Hispanic patients, and 40% of Native American patients won't find a match. We need more diverse donors to join the registry to increase the odds for those patients.

🥖MEXICO CITY INSPIRED PANADERIA IN SAN ANTONIO 🥖MEXICO CITY INSPIRED PANADERIA IN SAN ANTONIO
This is the one restaurant I visit EVERY single time I’m in town!! @LaPanaderia opened in 2014 & specializes in making handmade bread & pan dulce inspired by Mexico’s Golden Era, which also draws influence from French, Italian, & American breadmaking techniques. Which means yes, the bread is 🤤 & absolutely worth the drive!
🎥In the video:
-Tres Leches Croissant, Vanilla Concha (top was crunchy while the inside was flaky 🤤), Chocolate Croissant, Sugar Donut
-Bacon & Egg Torta on birote with a house salad (my favorite)
-French Toast on Cinnamon Raisins & Pecans roll
-El Buenos Dias
-Iced Lattes
🏆And if you don’t believe me when I say it’s worth the hype, it was named one of the 10 “best artisanal bakeries in North America” by USA Today’s 10 Best.

LAREDO ROUND UP I remember visiting Laredo when m LAREDO ROUND UP
I remember visiting Laredo when my family and I would drive to Mexico for our family trips. It had been years since I had visited and let me tell you, it has grown SO much. Some of my favorite things to do were strolling through downtown feeling like we went back in time, and the blend of Mexican and American cultures, from the amazing Mexican food to the Spanglish menus. Here are some things you can't miss on your next visit! Thanks for inviting me @visitlaredotx

5️⃣ Get some shopping done at @the_outlet_shoppes_at_laredo and get a photo at the Laredo mural on the second floor.
6️⃣ Visit the museums like the Republic of the Rio Grande Museum, Laredo Water Museum, Border Heritage Museum, or the TAMIU Planetarium.

New Houston Murals

Houston Heights

Location: Heights House Hotel

Artist: Sar_sergioaguilar & Xusangel

Tips: 2020 Mood, getting abducted by aliens. JK! How fun is this new gigantic colorful vintage mural at the new Heights House Hotel? If you stand where I am standing it makes it seem like you are being abducted by aliens. Give it a try and tag me in the picture!

Don’t forget to bring your wide eye angle lens! I had to photograph this mural from an angle to get as much as possible in the frame.

Good Vibes Only Mural

Good Vibes Only

Location: Heights House Hotel

Artist: Sar_sergioaguilar & Xusangel

Tips: This mural is located right next to the Houston Heights mural above at the new Heights House Hotel. This hotel is going to be so Instagrammable, I can’t wait to stay there and show y’all!

New Houston Murals

I believe in the good things coming

Location: Parking lot of Cafeza and Cafe Brussels

Artist: Anatronen1971

Tips: Another huge new mural addition in the heights! Bring your wide eye angle lens! Again, took this from an angle so I could capture the whole mural.

This mural is perfect for 2020! I believe in the good things coming, y’all make sure to stay positive out there!

New Houston Murals

Live your best life

Location: 712 Pinemont

Artist: Artistbetirri

Tips: Another inspirational mural. I love murals with a meaning! I also love the pastel colors and the California vibes!

This mural is located on the side of some apartments. James did have to step into the street to get the full mural so make sure to be careful or bring a wide eye angle lens. I also parked at the apartments right outside the gate for a quick picture.

New Houston Murals

What lifts you

Location: Alexan Lower Heights

Artist: KelseyMontagueArt

Tips: I am sure y’all have seen Kelsey Montague’s wings all over the US! Well, we finally have our own set of wings in Houston!

The apartments have plenty of parking at the front. In the middle of the apartments there is an opening without any gates and you are free to walk in and find this mural. Have some fun and try different angles!

Together

Location: 3607 White Oak

Artist: Unknown

Tips: This mural is located in the back of Shop Tre’Sorelle. I love that it serves a reminder that we are all in this together!

Also note, there are several other murals on the property for all your Instagram needs! Come prepared for all the picture possibilities!

New Houston Murals

East River

New Houston Murals

Location: Corner of Jensen and Clinton

Artist: Capdavjon

Tips: This mural is located on the corner of a very busy street. I have never had that many people stare, or had people slow down to see what I am doing. Then, this sweet man rolled down his window to tell me I was doing great LOL Gotta love Houston!

The mural plays symbolic homage to how the bayou connects our city and honors our physical roots in the Historic Fifth Ward & East End.

So, don’t forget your wide eye angle lens as it was almost impossible to get the full mural, and have fun capturing all the vivid colors!

New Houston Mural

Space City

Location: Texas Avenue BNB

Artist: Kearinever

Tips: Sensing a space theme here? This one is located at Texas Avenue BNB which is a boutique hotel and event space that I definitely want to check out one day! There is street parking available.

Colorful Wall

Location: 5913 Washington

Artist: Unknown

Tips: Not sure what this location is but since it is a business, there is parking up front. While I was there, someone actually came up to take some birthday photos so this is definitely a cute colorful spot for some special pictures!

Houston New Murals

We're all in this together Houston

Location: 1888 Thompson (corner of I-10 and Thompson)

Artist: David Addickes

Tips: Okay, I know this isn’t a mural but it’s still an amazing find! 2020 has definitely had a theme of positivity and togetherness!

Beware, since this is off the feeder, please be careful when taking your picture!
